Hi, I’m Hilary, the founder and creator of The Filthy Fizz!

I’ve always believed that creativity isn’t just something I enjoy—it’s part of who I am. In many ways, it’s in my bloodline. My father is a painter, my stepmother is an author, my sister is an artist, and my husband is a professional musician. Growing up surrounded by creativity taught me to see the world a little differently and inspired me to find joy in creating things that bring happiness to others.

Over the years, I’ve explored that creative side in many ways. I’ve owned a party decorating business where I designed and created my own decorations, and I’ve always had a passion for interior design, fashion, event planning, and finding unique ways to turn ideas into reality. Creating has never felt like work to me—it’s simply what I love.

While balancing a full-time career, a wonderful marriage of more than 25 years, raising two amazing children, and caring for our seven rescued shelter pets, I reached a point in life where I wanted to build something that was truly my own. Something fun. Something creative. Something that connected me with my community.

That’s when I discovered the growing world of dirty sodas and loaded popcorn. After seeing the trend explode on social media, I realized there was an opportunity to bring something fresh, exciting, and family-friendly to the Lake Norman area. The idea immediately clicked. It combined creativity, entrepreneurship, community, and the chance to create memorable experiences for people of all ages.

The Filthy Fizz was born from that vision.

Today, my goal is to bring delicious drinks, gourmet popcorn, and a little extra fun to festivals, grand openings, schools, corporate events, and community gatherings throughout the Lake Norman region. Every menu item, flavor combination, display, and event setup is an opportunity for me to create something special.

This isn’t just a hobby or a side project—it’s a dream I’m committed to building into a successful business. My long-term vision is to grow The Filthy Fizz from a mobile event business into a dedicated trailer and eventually a storefront where families and friends can gather, connect, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience.
